About Us

The Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership is the result of a collaborative effort between Southern Nazarene University and the Ziglar Corporation of Addison, Texas. The center is a not-for-profit, quasi-independent, interdisciplinary academic center housed at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma (Greater Oklahoma City).

Mission and Vision

It is the mission of the Ziglar Center to be an academic center of excellence for the study and practice of ethical leadership. In so doing, we honor the life and legacy of Zig Ziglar with the vision of developing a cadre of world-changing leaders who think with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with purpose. The center seeks to serve four key constituencies - students, professionals, businesses and “not-for-profit” organizations.

Undergraduate Students

At Southern Nazarene University learning faith-based life skills begins in the freshman year of college and continues throughout the undergraduate years until graduation. During this span of time, young men and women will be introduced to a variety of principles, practices and life-skills to equip them for a bright future.

Professionals, Businesses and Not-for-Profit Organizations

Zig Ziglar has long been a proponent of life-long learning. The Ziglar Center will also focus upon that commitment in providing business leaders and corporations with educational services that train leaders and assess current business practices.

The vision of ethical leadership changing the way we live, work and care for one another may have its greatest impact in the world of charitable organizations, faith-based initiatives and churches—the helping organizations. The Ziglar Center will offer its services to provide leadership training, resourcing and assessment to these often over-worked and under-supported organizations. A cadre of full-time professors as well as select lecturers will provide:

  • Training Seminars
  • Leadership Development
  • Business Ethics Plan Development and Implementation
  • Executive Coaching
  • Goal Setting and Strategic Plan execution
  • Equipping leaders with tools for global philanthropy (AIDS, poverty)
  • On-site assessment of systems and human resource ethics plans and practices
